Sports specific skills are important, but collegiate coaches are increasingly focused on female athletes with the Speed, Agility and Explosiveness to be successful at the next level. Take our test, track the results and improve your scholarship potential.


40 Yard Dash (in seconds):

The 40 Yard Dash is a test of pure Speed. To perform this drill the athlete must measure out 40 yards (approximately 36.6 meters) from the start line. The athlete should time how long it takes them to run from the start line to the finish line.

 
Vertical Jump (in inches):

The Vertical Jump is a test of Explosive Power. To perform this drill the athlete should dip their fingertips in chalk and stand against a wall, raising one hand as high as possible and marking the wall. Then the athlete should squat down and explode off both feet, jumping as high as possible and touching the wall again. Measure from the highest mark made to the lower (standing) mark.



Shuttle Run (in seconds):

The Shuttle Run is a test of Speed and Agility. To perform this drill the athlete must set two blocks on a line 30 feet from the starting point. The athlete should time how long it takes to run from the starting line to the blocks, pick up the 1st block, turn around and bring it back to the starting line. Place the block behind the line, turn and sprint back to pick up the 2nd block. Once retrieved, the athlete must sprint back through the start line and stop the watch.

 
Standing Long Jump (in feet and inches):

The Standing Long Jump is a test of Explosive Power and Core Strength. To perform this drill the athlete must stand with both feet together at a the edge of a sand pit or at a line. The athlete then lowers into a squat and explodes off both feet, jumping horizontally forward. Measure from the line to the nearest point of contact.
